2nd Beall and 2nd Hill had a HUGE turn out for Board Games in Woolworth! I always love watching and listening to students play Uno, Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza (even though I have no idea how to play), and Table Topics. Our students are so detail oriented and specific, and those qualities always make for great game nights! The room was lively, full of laughter, and even little moments of teaching and learning rules!

2nd Beall joined our lovely sibling hall 3rd East on this lovely Saturday afternoon, where we took a trip to Chapel Hill staple Maple View Ice Cream! There, we enjoyed the sunset and shared many sprinkle-filled laughs.Â

2nd Beall and the whole NCSSM community welcomed the 2026 - 2027 school year officially with the First Day of Classes and our Convocation Celebration! As is tradition, we gathered in front of Watts Stairs to take our first hall photo, and afterwards students had the option to attend the Convocation Picnic, or walk down the street to the Loop for dinner!

A tradition across campus is to color-code your schedule in a community space and discuss your classes. We also had pizza thanks to a lovely 2nd Beallian family, so many student stopped by to discuss their classes, and debate what color each subject is! (The only one we could generally agree on is that science is green, haha)
August 16th - Sibling Hall Icebreakers with 3rd East
August 16th - Sibling Hall Icebreakers with 3rd East
2nd Beall and 3rd East are sibling halls this year, which gives students from both halls more opportunities for connections! It is tradition that, on Senior Move In Day, Sibling Halls get together and play all kinds of games to learn names, make early connections, and just have a little bit of fun!
